friday

today i will be blogging about a two sided issue. Space exploration! I do have to admit that I enjoyed astronomy very much in high school, however I am against it. three reasons why.

1) money, we spend a lot of money form the building of the spacecraft to the technology we have to have to use it. to me this is pointless dollars down the drain.we need to fix our economy and worry about our own situation before we spend billions for an activity that is very minimal.

2)false dreams little kids dream of becoming astronauts but really how can this happen. in certain cases it does but overall no. becoming the very first country to do anything for instance the first country to the moon now it has become a competition that in the long run has no significance. Also the beings on other planets we are always trying to find and guess what still nothing but another false dream.

3)God, has this place the way he wants it if we were supposed to be in space don't you think that he would have made it a little easier. I don't think a sane God would have people killed trying to do something. I have no Questions about what is beyond our world. I worry about the things that are tangible here in front of us.

In my opinion we need to take a step back and think for a second of A what is this accomplishing and the cost to do it. and B are we even supposed to be doing this.

  1. IMHO point A is the important one. Point B is the old why did God give us rational minds argument.

As far as the timing viv-a-vis the economy I agree with you. It has always been the things we develop en route to reaching space- the tech we need to get there- that is more important than the actual journey. Look at the lessons that have since saved lives we learned trying to save Apollo 13.
