friday

today i will be blogging about a two sided issue. Space exploration! I do have to admit that I enjoyed astronomy very much in high school, however I am against it. three reasons why.

1) money, we spend a lot of money form the building of the spacecraft to the technology we have to have to use it. to me this is pointless dollars down the drain.we need to fix our economy and worry about our own situation before we spend billions for an activity that is very minimal.

2)false dreams little kids dream of becoming astronauts but really how can this happen. in certain cases it does but overall no. becoming the very first country to do anything for instance the first country to the moon now it has become a competition that in the long run has no significance. Also the beings on other planets we are always trying to find and guess what still nothing but another false dream.

3)God, has this place the way he wants it if we were supposed to be in space don't you think that he would have made it a little easier. I don't think a sane God would have people killed trying to do something. I have no Questions about what is beyond our world. I worry about the things that are tangible here in front of us.

In my opinion we need to take a step back and think for a second of A what is this accomplishing and the cost to do it. and B are we even supposed to be doing this.

humpday poem

Lying on the beach beer in your hand
enjoying the nice breeze in you hair
while your feet feel the hot soft sand
something feels wrong in the air

it feels so nice this 70 degrees
not a thing on your mind
but the gentle breeze
you realize that your where to blind

here comes the storm
and you are lying in the middle of the beach
the wind and rain begin to swarm
and all the water begins to breech

now all you can do is run
looking back at what was
you had all your fun
and exposed are all your flaws

Now machine

inspired by Tilting at Windmills "the humble author" I have decided to create my one "time machine" as he calls it but with a twist the new age music. I'm going to call it the now machine.A lot of the music out there today sucks. me being bluntly honest the rap is a disgrace, and a lot of rock is becoming the same way. the artist I'm going to put on here have catchy lyrics and a gutiar solo.

Alternative music has kind of taken a backseat to rap and the Mexicans here in Fort Wayne. I have found this website called www.purevolume.com were they play alternative bands and they have there own chart. these artist will never compare to the beatles, beachboys, elvis, ect. but this is my favorite genre of music. each monday i wll do a band spolight followed by my top ten and purevolumes top ten.

first lets start with my pick for band of the week Move Out West! They are relativley new to the scene they have relased songs and are working on their very first album.

Making the Move Out West is a staple statement of the American Dream, this glamor of the west coast has not failed to entice the 4 guys who have rightfully titled their band "Move Out West". The group began developing their sound around the music they had all individually grew up on, enlisting the help of iconic Ace Enders of the now defunct "The Early November" to help produce their early style. With members of multiple previous touring bands, Move Out West began a full time touring and recording schedule to personify their DIY attitude. In their first year the band has debuted 9 released songs for free download, recorded their 5-song debut EP in Atlanta, GA w/ Zack and Kenneth (All Time Low, Cartel, Mayday Parade) and toured an extensive portion of the United States, all of which have been self-funded. Their debut EP, titled "On The Run", will be available April 12th internationally via iTunes. purevolumes bio not mine!

you can only check these guys out on purevolume.com on of my favs is turn around. give them a listen it's worth it.

alright purvolme's top ten this week
10 Play It Purple
9 Forever the sickest kids
8 Atlantic Aftermath
7 He Is We
6 The Canvas Waiting
5 Before You Exit
4 The Paper Melody

school or no school?

OK I was at work and doing the same damn thing for ten hours you tend to let your mind of the leash. by this I mean letting your mind wander wherever it wants. In my "wandering" I was thinking about school why well on the news they were talking about snow make up days. like extending graduation and the school year and even possibly Saturdays school. First I think man when I was in high school there is no way I would be at school on Saturday not a chance. Second thought when I was in school they had these things called built in snow days. Because guess what in Indiana it snows four months out of the year maybe more.

Now the deep stuff you ready? I got thinking back to my days at Hoagland Elementary, and thinking about it now that was like a Nazi school (not that they killed Jews)for instance we had to walk on the right side of the hall we could not talk in the hall , they counted us going in and out of class rooms in gym we HAD TO TAKE SHOWERS!
the only places I know that do that are PRISON and the MILITARY!

Then I got thinking deeper(see the smoke) our whole education method is screwed up we are in a society that does not create geneses any more our educational system is built for creating workers a person that will do what she or he is told.we don't have creative thinking in this country what so ever.

now I'm not saying we are raising dummies no. but i have noticed some really dumb people. think about this now that I'm out of school i don't work with everyone my age I don't go on vacations with everyone my one age. At school your age and your grade are together ( well until college) but after fifteen years of being carved into a "worker" that is what we end up doing. now for some of us who overcome this cool great. as for me I haven't i became somebodies yes man and it sucks. I strongly recommend home schooling your child may be hard yes but think of the good of you and your child .

been awhile "A"

first I'd like to send a shout out to Gary ferllow thank you sir for giving me a job. For you people who don't know I worked at Steak n' Shake for six months before I was wrongfully fired. we won't get into that now. My father got me into Arden a company that makes patio cushions. I started my very fist yahoo Fantasy racing league my team called the Beer Stars. week one my team was Kyle busch, Martin truex Jr.,brad and brian keslowski, my bench was tony stewart, dale earnhart jr.,Joey lagono, and jj yelley... 204 points not bad. but I find it hard that a rookie won the daytona wow!

last but not least a poem number two

sometimes I feel like ice
hard on the outside
I have listened to the advise
but I'm still here on my backside

some days I can do it all
others I wander why do anything at all
Like I'm waiting for my next downfall
I beat my head against the drywall

one day i am so positive things will be OK
the next i am looking for a way out
why is it i get led so astray
come on Obama I need a bailout

I seem to be stuck in hole
there are tools here
but I always find a loophole
man I could use a beer

I need to get back on a track
I need to find away
My hearts not all black
I can do this I just need a highway

ect...

Well, lets start out with some good news first. Wednesday night I went into work and we were getting slammed, I was starting to get agitate with all the annoying customers. When out the of the clear blue sky, it was like GOD said, "this should help." NO WATER! Our store lost complete water at 12:30 A.M. Manager said to shut down and reopen when the water comes back on. SO Kieth and close the store and watch the customers still try to come even though one door is locked and another door has a big clear sign that say sorry for any inconvenience, but do to plumbing issues we have closed. We closed for about two hours before we opened again!

In other news I have made up my own top ten best movie list, these are based on my opinions you don't have to like them.

10: Zombie land (comedy)
Stars:Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Woody Harrelson
9: The Replacements (comedy)
Stars:Keanu Reeves, Gene Hackman and Brooke Langton
8: 88 minutes (Thriller)

7: Tango and Cash (Drama)

Stars:Tom Hanks, Robin Wright and Gary Sinise
2:Rocky (drama)
Stars:Sylvester Stallone, Talia Shire and Burt Young
1: Waterboy ( comedy)
Stars:Adam Sandler, Kathy Bates and Henry Winkler

And finally to wrap things up a poem!
DEEP
The snow hits my rigid face
I stumble In the thick white snow
I try to run faster like I'm in a race
But I'm too dawm slow

I try so hard to persevere
but I only know defeat
I give up and take drag on my beer
I just sit in the middle of the street

Waiting for the end to come
the snow hits harder and fall to the ground
Maybe there is no hope for the dumb
I wake up man you wont believe what I found

I found me on my bed the alarm clock ringing
Its time to start again this time clean
I get out of bed Springing
a whole new day is on the scene

No more pain only strength
No more past only present
everything with in an arms length
Man now its time to pay the rent

Moving on..

All, right let me start out with some sports. First off Sidney Crosby is hands down the best hockey player in the NHL. I say, this because for years everybody has compared him to Alex Ovechkin. Well this year Crosby leads the NHL in goals scored with 31 and in points with 65 and ovi has 14 goals with 42 points. I dislike very much the capitols for this reason everybody thinks alex is the best well look at the numbers not to mention the ring on Crosby's finger. moving on...

NFL

at the beginning of the football season I predicted the Superbowl Baltimore facing Atlanta and so far so good they are both in the playoffs long way to go though.

the first round games this weekend are Seattle and the saints. Seattle wins if Drew Bree's and Payton get eat in by a heard of giant elephants. Man how does Seattle even get in? anyways my prediction is Saints 42 Seattle 17.

Colts and the Jets are next up, this is a tough one this might be one of those games that you will see on ESPN classic down the road. very evenly matched teams.I guess it really depends on how Sanchez will do and if the colts will have a running game.My prediction

Colts 24 Jets 13.

Baltimore and Kansas city, got bad news for the chiefs your dream season is almost finished. I don't think the chiefs can handle Baltimore; but the ravens have let me down before. My prediction

Baltimore 27 Chiefs 14

Last but not least the last game of the weekend is the Greenbay, Eagle game. This is also a tough one but I think the Eagles ability to choke in the playoffs is greater then that of the Packers so here it goes.

GreenBay 31 Eagles 27

Moving on..

I am up to three coats and four scarfs at work. Man I'm going to have a whole new wardrobe!

Anyways things are doing good hopefully my dad doesn't make me a fool again with the whole Auburn , Oregon thing.

Monday, January 3, 2011

Work ect.

So it begins another day of paradise at work, but oh what is this we are closed for three hours because our hoods getting cleaned! That's right, I generally work third shift at my job 11p.m. to 7a.m. and at midnight we shut down for three hours to clean out our firers and hoods. Working thirds means I get a lot of drunks in and they tend to leave a lot of junk and forget to ever come back for it. So I going to keep track of all this junk that the drunks leave behind. So far this year I've got one scarf and one coat!

In football news, cause you can't live without a little sports. I owe, my dad a big apology TCU is way better than I thought. Him and I have gone round and round his small town school is TCU and mine is Boise st. On to the pros can anybody answer me way the raiders are getting rid of tom cable? this makes zero sense to me. Sorry to the vikings because Frazier is not the answer.

In other news so far so good here in 2011 I just purchased my very first home exercising bike it's awesome baby! lol Also got the new Tami Hoag book she is my favorite author her new book is called Secrets to the grave, it takes you back to crime in the eighties really neat. she is a mystery author just a quick F.Y.I. and lastly I bought the complete series of Dexter seasons 1-4

on eBay. Awesome show, but you defiantly want to watch it from beginning to end to know what is going on.
