Now machine

inspired by Tilting at Windmills "the humble author" I have decided to create my one "time machine" as he calls it but with a twist the new age music. I'm going to call it the now machine.A lot of the music out there today sucks. me being bluntly honest the rap is a disgrace, and a lot of rock is becoming the same way. the artist I'm going to put on here have catchy lyrics and a gutiar solo.

Alternative music has kind of taken a backseat to rap and the Mexicans here in Fort Wayne. I have found this website called www.purevolume.com were they play alternative bands and they have there own chart. these artist will never compare to the beatles, beachboys, elvis, ect. but this is my favorite genre of music. each monday i wll do a band spolight followed by my top ten and purevolumes top ten.

first lets start with my pick for band of the week Move Out West! They are relativley new to the scene they have relased songs and are working on their very first album.

Making the Move Out West is a staple statement of the American Dream, this glamor of the west coast has not failed to entice the 4 guys who have rightfully titled their band "Move Out West". The group began developing their sound around the music they had all individually grew up on, enlisting the help of iconic Ace Enders of the now defunct "The Early November" to help produce their early style. With members of multiple previous touring bands, Move Out West began a full time touring and recording schedule to personify their DIY attitude. In their first year the band has debuted 9 released songs for free download, recorded their 5-song debut EP in Atlanta, GA w/ Zack and Kenneth (All Time Low, Cartel, Mayday Parade) and toured an extensive portion of the United States, all of which have been self-funded. Their debut EP, titled "On The Run", will be available April 12th internationally via iTunes. purevolumes bio not mine!

  1. Not bad, Might wanna credit Purevolume for the bio, wouldn't want to get hit with plaigerism, eh?
Listened to On The Run and the "single", Turn Around, liked On The Run a little better. Nice thing is that you can have real music with real instruments and words that aren't all about sex, crime, drugs, etc. I'll give them a 7 on the modified Dick Clark scale.
